"Musical Freestyle 101" - the first course in starting freestyles.
The Process of creating a Musical Freestyle seems almost daunting to those new to the art of riding dressage to music. Where to begin...horse, rider, music, movements, judging..how does it all come together? Evelyn has translated her method of creating her own winning freestyles into a simple recipe and presents it in a clinic format...hence the name "Musical Freestyle 101", the introductory course in creating your first freestyle.
The clinic covers the basics of creating a freestyle to include USEF/FEI rules, horse gait analysis, music tempo analysis, music phrasing, artistic interpretation and choreographing the final ride. Evelyn supplements the clinic with a copy of the clinic format (in its entirety) and uses videos of her own Championship Rides as well as many of her students and competitors in the region. You will also receive a copy of the worksheet we use to develop the freestyle from scratch and will be given video examples to work through planning a freestyle together at the clinic.
Evelyn ends her clinic by showing how the whole process comes together as she will choreograph a freestyle LIVE using a pre-prepared freestyle from a selection of previously used music. A real freestyle will come together in front of your eyes..and the whole process will come full circle. (a non mounted clinic is also an option).
You will leave the clinic with the knowledge needed to make your first musical freestyle.
